Xingu
Amazon Refuge is a tourist project created to generate alternative
ways to help the conservation of the Xingu National Park and
its Native Nations. This program takes you into a journey
"back to the roots", recreating the environments
and influence of the indigenous culture from the high Xingu,
just as the one found by the German researcher in 1884, whose
discovery named the Von Den Steinem River, an important affluent
of the Xingu basin…
Very
few outsiders have traveled to the heart of the Xingu Amazon
Refuge. The 9,000-acre forest reserve is the isolated home
of the Kamayura Indians; no roads link it to the modern world…
Program
includes:
- Transfers Sinop airport/Xingu Amazon Refuge/Sinop airport
- 3 nights with breakfast, lunch & dinner at the lodge
- Daily tours by foot, jeep, horse back, canoe with bilingual
guide
- Visit a local Indian trading post for the opportunity to
buy indigenous art and learn cultural folklore
